Hello

Our History

There's much to see here. So, take your time, look around, and learn all there is to know about us. We hope you enjoy our site and take a moment to drop us a line.

How Our Nonprofit Started

There was a community of women in Wisconsin that held a festival called Indian Summer—one of the largest yearly festivals held on the lake at the Summerfest grounds. After much discussion, the women of this community made a decision to make their first debut at the Indian Summer Pow-wow in September.

During the festival, we saw the importance of forming an organization focusing on Indian American women. We wanted to start raising breast health awareness among Native American women in the Southeastern Wisconsin area.
